OTTAWA COUNTY, MI – Five people, including a 6-year-old boy, were injured in a head-on crash on M-231, sheriff’s deputies said.
A woman in her 30s and the 6-year-old suffered serious injuries, Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies said.
Three people in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries, police said.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, on M-231 north of Lincoln Street in Ottawa County’s Robinson Township.
The investigation showed that the seriously injured woman was driving a Nissan SUV south on M-231 when she lost control of the vehicle.
It crossed into the northbound lane and collided with an oncoming Ford SUV, police said.
Firefighters from Robinson, Grand Haven and Crockery townships assisted sheriff’s deputies at the scene.
