Why Is Jelly Roll Teaming Up With the Grand Ole Opry?

Jelly will be playing two shows on Monday, Sept. 22, at the Opry to raise money to benefit the Nashville community and some charities that ring close to his heart, the Judge Dinkins Educational Center and the Buddy DeFord Charitable Fund .

Jelly Roll — whose real name is Jason DeFord — started the Buddy DeFord Charitable Fund to honor his late father, Buddy, and to support nonprofits addressing some of the most pressing issues facing the community.
