TOWN OF SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. ( WMTV /Gray News) - The death of a 62-year-old man found in a manure pit appears to be accidental, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that the circumstances surrounding the remains being found at the manure pit in the Town of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, are still being investigated.

Authorities said the man did not have a permanent address and is not associated with the farm where his remains were found.

Authorities are still working to identify the man’s relatives, and his identity has not been revealed.

An autopsy has been completed.
