The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) have arrested one individual as a suspect in a July sexual assault after they released a composite sketch of the man on August 6.

The sketch was of a male suspect in a sexual assault that took place in the early morning of July 2 in the Blatchford neighbourhood.

On August 8, police arrested 30-year-old Ferhat Ozdemircan in relation to the assault and charged him with sexual assault, kidnapping and intimidation.

He was released on bail with conditions which include weapons and firearm prohibitions, a 24-hour home curfew and the surrender of his passport.
