NEW YORK (WPIX) -- Coffee has been recalled from Dollar General stores nationwide after reports of potential glass fragments in the grounds, according to an announcement from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Dollar General has issued a voluntary recall of its Clover Valley Instant Coffee due to the potential presence of glass, the announcement said. The recall includes three lots of its eight-ounce products.

The products were distributed and sold in Dollar General stores nationwide between July 9 and July 21.

The recall comes after a customer reported the issue to Dollar General employees; however, no illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with the coffee. According to the recall notice, ingested glass could cause "damage to teeth, laceration of the mouth and throa
