PENNSYLVANIA (WTAJ) -- Dollar General Corporation announced they are recalling its Clover Valley brand Instant Coffee.

The product is being recalled due to the potential of the coffee containing glass fragments. Ingesting fragments of glass can be extremely harmful and cause injuries such as damage to teeth, cuts in the mouth and throat, and perforation of the intestine.

The corporation is actively investigating the source of the contamination after a customer notified Dollar General employees of the issue. No illnesses or injuries have been reported to date.
