ANDOVER, Kan. (KSNW) -- A Kansas child will be featured on a video billboard in Times Square.

Brooks Houser of Andover will appear in the bright lights of Times Square on Saturday, September 6, as part of the annual National Down Syndrome Society Times Square video presentation. Brooks was selected from more than 2,600 entries in the NDSS worldwide call for photos.

The video features a one-hour display on a billboard in Times Square, showcasing approximately 500 pictures of people of all ages and backgrounds worldwide with Down Syndrome. The goal is to promote value, acceptance and inclusion for people like Brooks.

The video is part of the kick-off for the New York City Buddy Walk, which takes place at the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park. The event, which began in 1995, has expanded
