WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) - Schools are putting everything in place to begin classes soon. It's just as hard whether the school district is big or small.
Warren celebrated the upcoming start of school. The celebration covered and crowded Courthouse Square. Games, giveaways, plus the cheerleaders lead the group with great school spirit.
"Our goal is to have a lot of positive energy and to kick school off in a very positive light," said Superintendent Steve Chiaro. But right now, there could be a challenge with the first day of school. The district, like so many others, needs school bus drivers.
"We are barely covering routes that we need to," said John Lacy, executive director of business operations for Warren City Schools Lacy wants to hire more drivers, so the buses don't have to double-up.
