The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for southeastern Hillsborough County and southwestern Rockingham County until 10:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Impacted areas include Manchester, Nashua, Derry, Merrimack, Salem, Bedford, Milford, Amherst and Litchfield.

In the past hour, Doppler radar estimates 1 to 1.5 inches of rain has fallen in and around Nashua.

Drivers who encounter a flooded roadway are urged to stop and turn around, as most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Earlier Wednesday evening, severe thunderstorm warnings were in effect for parts of central and southern New Hampshire until 6:45 p.m., but those warnings have expired.
