WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Construction on the Myra Road South Extension and Howard Street IRRP projects in Walla Walla is temporarily on hold.

A labor dispute between private contractors and employees has impacted multiple sites across Eastern Washington, the city said in a release .

There is currently no timeline for when the work will resume. The City of Walla Walla will provide updates as more information becomes available.

While the city of Walla Walla did not name the union involved in the labor dispute, the Washington State Department of Transportation confirmed work on the North Spokane Corridor has stopped due to a strike by the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 302 .

Richland’s Dallas Road Roundabouts project is also on hold due to a strike.
