PRICHARD, Ala. (WKRG) — For the second time in less than three months, a Prichard police officer finds himself on the other side of the law.
This comes after a Prichard police officer, Malachi Ligon, was arrested after seizing a cellphone and sending explicit images to a suspect's wife.
"We go through so much as it is as the City of Prichard, that I'm just praying that it's just a misunderstanding," Prichard Police Department Chief Walter Knight said.
In June, Prichard officer David Cunningham was fired after he was charged in a Mississippi kidnapping case.
Chief Knight thinks the youth of his department is one reason why some are getting into trouble.
"Well, what we got going on is we have a lot of relatively young officers, young, young adults," Knight said. "And so the maturity lev
