HOUSTON -- Jeremy Peña and Yainer Diaz homered in support of starter Hunter Brown , who threw 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball to pick up his second win since July 2 and send the Astros to a 4-1 win over the Red Sox on Wednesday night at Daikin Park.

Brown allowed six hits and three walks and struck out four batters to pick up his 10th win of the season. The Astros took two of three from the Red Sox for their third consecutive series win since being swept in Boston on Aug. 1-3.

Peña led off the first inning with a homer against Walker Buehler, and Diaz added an RBI single in the inning for a 2-0 lead. Brown endured a wobbly second inning, giving up one run, two hits and two walks, but held Boston in check the rest of the way.
