HENDERSON, Ken. (WFIE) - A solar panel farm in Robards reported multiple panels were recently vandalized.

According to notes taken at Henderson Fiscal Court, the Unbridled Solar Farm had 32 panels shot by a gun.

Geronimo Power officials say panels were discovered shot multiple times overnight about a month ago.

Officials say there are employees who work at night and are lucky to not have gotten hurt.

The damaged panels are expected to be shipped to Arizona to a recycling center to be discarded.

Back in March, the site took substantial damage from a hail storm back in march resulting in roughly 4,000 panels being replaced.

The farm went commercial on February 10 and can currently produce enough energy for 15,000 homes.
