HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Getting through an airport is rarely stress-free. There’s luggage, long lines, and the fear of missing your flight.
It can be even more of a headache for families trying to get their young children through airport security.
The Transportation Security Administration thinks it can help ease the pain with the new “Families on the Fly” program.
The Daniel K. Inouye International Airport now has state’s first-ever dedicated TSA security lane for parents with keiki age 12 and under.
“The benefits of this lane for families include shorter lines and passengers receiving hands-on help from TSA officers to assist with divesting carry-on bags and strollers and things of that nature,” said Nanea Vasta, the TSA’s federal security director for Pacific airports. “This fami
