CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The six suspects indicted for their roles in what Cincinnati police say was a large “violent attack” Downtown are due in court Thursday.

These are their first court appearances since a Hamilton County grand jury indicted them on additional charges last week: Three counts each of felonious assault and assault and two counts of aggravated riot.

Each suspect now faces up to nearly three decades in prison if convicted on all charges.

Ohio’s aiding and abetting law is an underlying premise of this case, according to Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich.

That means anyone who assists or facilitates the commission of a crime, even without directly committing the act, can face the same penalties as the principal offender.
