MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A 24-year-old man was arrested by the Madison Police Department for allegedly pointing a weapon at other people during a birthday party at Tenney Beach Shelter Wednesday.

According to police, the 24-year-old man and a woman were arguing near the beach shelter about 8:41 p.m. There was a birthday party going on at the shelter during this time. The people at the party did not know the two people arguing.

Adults at the birthday party were concerned with the 24-year-old’s behavior and intervened in the argument on behalf of the woman. When the adults intervened, the 24-year-old man drew a handgun and racked the slide, per MPD.

The 24-year-old man then pointed the gun at the two people intervening and stated ”I’ll shoot any of y’all," according to the victims’ accounts
