MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A driver was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a crash on the Madison Beltline near Todd Drive, the Madison Police Department said Thursday.
MPD said witnesses called 911 around 3:45 p.m. to report a crash involving a semi truck and two other vehicles on the westbound Beltline.
Officers determined the semi truck had made a lane change and hit a Kia Sorento, causing the SUV to spin several times.
Police explained the SUV hit the semi again, then hit another vehicle.
MPD reported officials took the Kia driver to a hospital. The individual is expected to be OK.
Wisconsin State Patrol inspected the semi truck involved, MPD added.
The two right, westbound lanes of the Beltline near Todd Drive were closed for nearly two hours.
