WALHALLA, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The chief of the Walhalla Rescue Squad said an investigation is being conducted related to the organization.

Rescue Chief Brady Land confirmed Thursday that the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is conducting the investigation.

“We want to be clear,” Land said, “No current member, officer, or volunteer of the Walhalla Rescue Squad is accused of, or suspected of, any wrongdoing.”

Land said the organization is cooperating fully to assist with SLED’s investigation.

“Our mission to serve the citizens of Oconee County continues without interruption, and we remain dedicated to transparency and public trust,” Land said.

FOX Carolina News has reached out to SLED for more information.
