GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Officials said an Upstate man wanted for human trafficking and other charges was arrested in North Carolina on Tuesday.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said 40-year-old Ricky Dean Clinton has been wanted since July for criminal sexual conduct with a minor after having an inappropriate relationship with a teenage girl in Honea Path.
Officials said U.S. Marshals captured Clinton on Tuesday in Connelly Springs, NC after he shot at Cleveland County deputies. Deputies returned fire, shooting Clinton in the back and injuring him.
The Cleveland County, NC Sheriff’s Office said Clinton was wanted for the following charges:
Human trafficking of a child
Indecent liberties with a child
First-degree kidnapping
Sexual servitude of a minor
Delivering a co
