LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - A child walking to school was hit and a woman arrested in what Longview police are calling a hit-and-run Wednesday morning.

According to a press release, officers responded to a call in the 500 block of Buchanan Avenue at 7:34 a.m. Officers determined a child walking to school had been hit by a vehicle which left the scene before police arrived.

The child was taken to a hospital and the child’s injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

Officers identified the driver as Susana Granado, 49, of Longview. She was arrested and charged with faulure to stop at the scene of a collision causing bodily injury. She is being held on a $5,000 bond.
