RICHMOND HILL, Ga. (WTOC) - The future of an airport in Bryan County is a little clearer after the release of two studies to justify the project and identify a place to put it.
When the Richmond Hill - Bryan County Airport Authority meets on Aug. 18, 2025, the 11 members will be armed with data showing the need and demand for an airport, the size requirements, the cost, and five potential locations.
A justification study from Holt Consulting, conducted in 2023, recommends a 300-acre airport in Bryan County, with 14 hangars and a runway 5,000 feet long.
It estimates an airport based on these specifications would cost more than $128 million to build.
A Site Selection Study also lists five potential locations for the Richmond Hill airport, each with their own pros and cons.
Each site is
