COLUMBUS — Holding up a foam executioner’s axe, Sam Limpic stood out like a sore thumb behind those with the expected anti-gerrymandering signs and T-shirts Thursday on the steps of the Ohio Statehouse.
“It’s Plan B, isn’t it?” he said. “Peaceful protest is the ideal for this movement, but that’s not the end goal. Our constitution has laid out a very clear Plan B, and it seems like everyone’s forgotten that part.”
But the Columbus resident and San Diego native stressed he was not advocating violence.
“Plan B is realizing that the people in power aren’t representing the will of the people, and we remove them...,” he said. “How can I be violent with foam?”
