CLEVELAND — A woman was hospitalized early Thursday morning after being set on fire during an assault by a group of suspects following a dispute with a neighbor, Cleveland police say.
Police responded to a home on West 87th Street and found a 38-year-old woman who had sustained burns on parts of her body. She was taken to a hospital by EMS and is currently undergoing treatment, police say.
The victim told police she had been in an "altercation" with a neighbor over property.
"Following the dispute, the neighbor is believed to have called approximately three juveniles to the residence to confront the victim," police said. "At around 12:20 a.m., the juvenile suspects arrived and began assaulting the victim. During the assault, one of the suspects set the victim on fire."
