HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WSMV) - A home in Hopkinsville was destroyed in a fire overnight, according to the Hopkinsville Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to a home on West 1st Street around 11:30 p.m. for reports of a fire.

When crews arrived, they found the home engulfed in flames. The family had also already made it out of the home by the time firefighters arrived.

Six people, including children, lived in the home and have been displaced. A cat may have been inside the home, but it has not been located.
