DES MOINES, Iowa (KCAU) — As part of its 40th anniversary celebration, the Iowa Lottery attempted to break a world record at the Iowa State Fair.

When lottery officials first started selling tickets in 1985, they did it with a kick-off celebration at the Iowa State Fair.
