LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The City of Laredo recently approved an agreement with the Laredo Police Officers Association (LPOA) to raise officers’ salaries.

On August 14, during the first day of the Laredo City Council budget workshop , a special meeting was called to approve a motion for raises in collaboration with the LPOA.

This comes two weeks after a special-called meeting where dozens of speakers addressed the issue of competing agencies offering higher salaries than the Laredo Police.
