Friday’s sunny skies and highs in the 80s are going to give way to us watching for incoming rain showers and thunderstorms this weekend. While Saturday and Sunday won’t be washouts, we do have a risk of severe weather and possible flooding in some areas across Michigan this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
“Mostly sunny and warm today as temperatures rise into the mid to upper 80s away from the shorelines of the Great Lakes,” NWS meteorologists said this morning. “Shower and thunderstorm chances begin to increase late tonight, but especially Saturday and Saturday night. Locally heavy rain & an isolated strong storm will be the main concern with this activity.”
