FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY: A Heat Advisory will go into effect at 10 a.m. and will continue until 7 p.m. Heat index values could get upwards of 105 degrees.
THE NEXT 24 HOURS: If you’ve stepped outside lately, you know that we are in the ‘dog days of summer.’
This morning we are in the 70s, and highs will climb into the low-to-mid-90s this afternoon. When you factor in the humidity, it’ll feel closer to 100 to 105 degrees in spots. Showers and storms today will be widely scattered. The winds aloft are weak, so storms could sit and dump rain over one area, which could lead to localized flooding.
