CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Friday marks the deadline for Massachusetts residents to enter the Registry of Motor Vehicles' low-number license plate lottery.

This year, 282 coveted low-number plates are available, including examples such as 42, 108, and 12K. Applicants will be randomly assigned one of the available plates if selected.

The application process is free, but winners must pay a $100 fee to receive their actual plate. Interested individuals can submit their applications via the RMV website, with the deadline set for 5 PM today.
