WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The West Springfield Police Department is advising drivers that the railroad crossing on Front Street is closed due to a train issue.

In a social media post by police on Friday morning, the railroad crossing between West Springfield and Agawam is closed until further notice. They say that a train at the CSX rail yard has a blown line.

Drivers are being asked to seek an alternate route and use caution in the area.
