LANSING - Starting today, a broad statewide coalition of parents, educators, students, and advocates will begin collecting signatures for the Invest In MI Kids ballot initiative for the November 2026 ballot to raise over $1 billion annually for public education.

Undeterred by well-funded right wing extremist groups like Americans For Prosperity attempting to subvert the Board of Canvassers process, Invest In MI Kids education advocates are ready to move forward, using the 100-word summary that was approved on June 27 by a vote of 3 to 1, to secure long-overdue investment in Michigan’s public schools.
