KODAK, Tenn. (WVLT) - A Walmart is coming to Winfield Dunn Parkway in Kodak. The Sevierville Planning Commission has approved the development, planned for nearby the Sevierville Welcome Center.

The commission approved the plan on Aug. 7, according to the City of Sevierville’s public information officer, Bob Stahlke.

Getting the plan approved involved rezoning about 13 acres to commercial use. In total, county plans put the development at almost 24 acres.

There’s no word yet on when construction will start or when it will open.
