TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A school in Tucson had to close on Friday, Aug. 15, due to police activity in the area.
The Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind, located at 1200 West Speedway, said all students and staff on campus are safe.
The school also said that parents have been notified about picking up their children and will receive instructions through the ParentQuare app.
“Thank you for your patience as we navigate this situation,” the school said in a Facebook post.
13 News has a crew headed to the scene and has reached out to Arizona DPS for more information.
The Tucson Police Department and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said it is not involved.
