As the rain clears, some school districts in the region are lending a helping hand to students and families in need.

These locations are collecting essential items such as detergent and shampoo, non-perishable food, bedding, clothes, shoes and kids' toys.

One school in Catoosa County, Cloud Springs Elementary, is taking extra steps to ensure their students are supported outside of the classroom.
