TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The Arizona Department of Transportation has announced an overnight closure in the north side of Tucson.

ADOT said overnight closures of westbound River Road are set to take place on Aug. 17, as part of the ongoing Interstate 10 Ina to Ruthrauff roads widening project .

Westbound River Road will be closed from Shannon Road to Camino de la Tierra from 9 p.m. on Aug. 17, to 5 a.m. on Aug. 18. During this time, drivers will be detoured north onto Shannon Road toward Orange Grove Road, ADOT said.

Eastbound River Road will remain open but may experience delays.

Drivers are advised to expect delays, obey posted speed limits and use caution around construction crews.
