PHOENIX — Terrifying moments caught on a security camera show a Phoenix woman being hit by a car before the driver took off.
Patricia Taliponte was about to go into a laundromat near Fillmore Street and 35th Avenue in June when it happened. She was facing toward her car when all of a sudden the suspect put his car in reverse and drove right into her.
"It really terrified me," Taliponte said. "I literally thought I was going to die."
Taliponte said she didn't even hear the car coming until it slammed into her. In the video, you can hear her screaming in pain as the driver and his female passenger drive off right after the crash.
Taliponte said she started bleeding from her knee as she experienced the worst pain she has ever felt.
“It actually felt like my leg was on fire,” she said.
