ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The extreme heat in the St. Louis metro means people are coming prepared to the numerous outdoor festivals and events happening this weekend.

There were also spotty thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon that people had to dodge.

From the Festival of the Little Hills in St. Charles to the Taste of St. Louis in Clayton, if you’re outside, you feel it, but that’s not keeping people away.

‘We have a lot of the timelines that never end. Right now, at the hottest part of the day, there aren’t too many people here, but in a few minutes, we’ll probably pick up again to have really long lines,” said Leila Byers at Conley’s Lemonade.
