A pensioner is fighting for life after being hit by a car while crossing the road. The 79-year-old is in a critical condition in hospital.
Police said the 79-year-old was injured at around 1.25pm on Tuesday, August 12 in Mount Harry Road, Sevenoaks, at the junction with the A225, Dartford Road.
Kent Police said the car reportedly collided with the pedestrian as he crossed the road. He was taken to hospital by paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
Officers now want anyone who saw what happened and drivers with dashcam footage of the area to get in touch.
Police said in an appeal for information: "The driver of a red Mazda stopped at the scene and has been supporting officers with their enquiries.
