SEATTLE — The man accused of fatally shooting a classmate at the Northgate Transit Center in late July is expected in court on Monday.
Investigators say Edward Kimani, 28, thoughtfully planned out the attack on his 48-year-old victim. The two were classmates at Pima Medical Institute, according to charging documents.
The shooting took place on a Monday morning during commute hours, as Kimani arrived to the station minutes before Juwan Williams was set to arrive.
Dressed in black gloves and a face covering, Kimani waited until Williams walked off the escalator and shot him in the back of the head. At the scene, the suspect then points the gun at Williams’ chest and is met with a gun malfunction before he runs away from the scene, documents state. Williams died the following day from hi
