RIDGEFIELD, Wash. — The opening date for Washington state's first In-N-Out location has been set.

The popular hamburger chain's new restaurant in Ridgefield will open its doors on Wednesday, Aug. 20 at 10:30 a.m., the company announced Monday.

Ridgefield is about three hours south of Seattle, located just north of Vancouver along Interstate 5. The restaurant will be at 5801 N. Pioneer Canyon Drive, just a few minutes off the major highway.

The company says it will employ about 80 associates when it opens, with a starting wage of $18.75 an hour.

The first In-N-Out opened in 1948 in Baldwin Park, California. By 1958, there were five southern California locations in the San Gabriel Valley. In 1973, there were 13 locations, all in Los Angeles County. That number grew to 32 by 1984.
