GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WATE) — The city of Gatlinburg decided to keep adding fluoride to its water supply after receiving public input, a spokesperson announced Monday afternoon.

Earlier this month, the city sent a letter with its water bills saying it was considering removing fluoride from the water and asking for feedback. The city commission was originally going to vote on the issue at a meeting on September 16, but after getting responses from community members and strong support from the health departments and dental professionals, it cancelled the vote.
