KENNEWICK, Wash. — A Kennewick woman accused of driving more than double the speed limit on Canal Drive Monday morning told police she was on her way to pay for a different speeding ticket she received earlier in August.

Instead of just a second ticket, the 21-year-old woman was arrested and booked for reckless driving after police said they saw her illegally passing a car while driving 74 mph in a 35 mph zone.

On Facebook , the Kennewick Police Department wrote that the woman told officers she was on her way to the courthouse to pay for a speeding ticket.
