MSNBC will soon go by a different name after its split from NBCUniversal.
NBCU recently decided to no longer share its famous Peacock logo with other networks. MSNBC, which previously used the iconic insignia, is thus rebranding. The cable news channel will soon be known as MS NOW, or My Source for News Opinion and the World.
In November 2024, NBCU announced that most of its cable networks, including MSNBC, would be spinning off to a new publicly traded company called Versant. Oxygen, E!, USA, SyFy, and CNBC are also under the Versant umbrella.
