BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Baton Rouge roads can be a battle. Cayla Abad knows this all too well after her tire blew out.

“I was able to make it onto the shoulder, but, like I said, it’s a really busy area. There are cars traveling very close to us,” said Abad.

Abad was on Burbank between Lee and Bluebonnet with her three kids all under the age of six, but they weren’t alone on the sidelines for long.

“A gentleman pulled over and asked if he could help and that ended up being Tamarcus Cooley,” explained Abad.

It was that Tamarcus Cooley who transferred to the LSU football team in January. The safety is known for his tackles and interceptions. He played defense off the field for a mother and her young children.
