(CNN) - Hundreds of visitors to Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park may have been exposed to rabies due to a bat infestation.
A colony of bats was discovered in late July above a number of rooms in the attic of the park’s famous Jackson Lake Lodge.
The National Park Service says the potential exposure occurred between May 5 and July 27.
Health officials are reaching out to previous guests to the lodge, which includes visitors from 38 states and seven countries.
Anyone seeking information about the situation is asked to contact the Grand Teton Lodge Company.
