BEDFORD — Leadership Lawrence County, a program focused on building community leaders and encouraging civic engagement, is now accepting applications for its 2025-2026 session.

First established in 1986, the program aims to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to become more engaged citizens. Sessions are held on one Friday a month from September to May, each focusing on a different theme related to the community.

Topics covered include tourism development, economic development, local government, state government, professional development, and the non-profit and philanthropy sectors. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with local officials and business owners and visit the State House to speak with state representatives.
