GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Decision-makers who represent Eastern Carolina in the General Assembly met with community members this morning.

Topics like healthcare, education, and economic development were at the forefront of attendees’ minds.

Pitt County community members, elected officials, and business owners met Tuesday at the 2025 legislative breakfast.

State Representative, Gloristine Brown, says “I’m here to listen, I’m here to learn, and I’m up here for my constituents. Those are my greatest concerns, to hear from them and know what they are in need of.”

“That’s really what representative democracy is all about,” State Representative, Tim Reeder said.
