NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Work is moving quickly on The Hive development off Martintown Road near Interstate 20.

Ground was broken on the new development a few months ago.

When we spoke to developers, they told us the apartments will go up first, and everything else will start to come together next spring.

Big news from Smalls: Slider chain opening CSRA locations

Smalls Sliders will soon be bringing its signature orange drive-thrus to the Augusta market.

And that seems to be the case, with apartment framing in place at the site as of Tuesday.

Restaurants, businesses and nearly 700 new homes are coming to the area.
