Montana officials are plowing forward with plans to build a new behavioral health hospital near Billings . But they’ve apparently left city and county leaders with little to say in response to the mouthful they’re hearing from local constituents.
City council member Scott Aspenlieder said he asked the state Board of Investments and the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services to come to Billings to discuss the possibility of building a state-run behavioral health hospital in the area.
But the conversation was removed from the agenda ahead of the council meeting on Monday evening, leaving elected officials frustrated as questions from concerned residents keep coming.
