COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The annual Truck Convoy for Special Olympics South Carolina will make its big return to Columbia this weekend.

Truckers will meet with Special Olympics athletes, law enforcement, and the community at the State Fairgrounds at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The annual event celebrates the trucking industry and supports Special Olympics athletes across the state.

Lunch, activities and a raffle will be followed by an awards ceremony recognizing truckers for their support of the trucking industry and the Special Olympics.

The Truck Convoy will leave at 1 p.m. They will go up Interstate 77 North and return south before going back to the fairgrounds. Truckers will be escorted by law enforcement.
